Staying Positive & Grounded Now-Always
I’ve been using some down time to reflect on how important my nightly meditation & yoga home practice is for my continued well being. With all of my classes on hold due to closures I, like many, have taken to online videos & much needed alone self practice. At the end of the day after I have taken care of my daughter, 2 dogs, husband & mother-in-law, it is my time. I set aside one hour to breathe, stretch & let my day go. I have no expectations for what my hour will consist of, all I know is I need to restore & renew. I like to keep it simple & move through “asanas” or postures which balance my body. Having had knee surgery a few months ago I make it a point to strengthen my legs, hips & core to support that healing. I truly believe in the healing power of mind, body + breathe connections. As I move through my postures I envision my breathe going to the areas that need it the most. By calming the nervous system & focusing my breathe on my body transformation begins. I feel at peace & pain free at the conclusion on my time. I truly hope you are able to find some time to breathe & move during these strange times. Namaste
