I made IT to 10 years!

It was 10 years a go I was diagnosed with the most deadliest type of brain cancer; Glioblastoma Stage 4. When I was diagnosed I was aware of the statistics, because my sister died of the disease. She died at 32. She was so young and had 3 beautiful children. My sister only lived for 2 years after she was diagnosed, even though she fought with all of her might. What is more chilling is that my sister died on February 7th 2002; 9 years later I was diagnosed on February 8th, 2011. I have researched, genetic testing, glio gene testing, everything you can think and nothing is inconclusive, there is not one marker that I know of…..So, I believe it all points to environmental. I truly believe my sister and my Aunt Helen, are helping me to serve a purpose of long term survivorship and strength. I pray for all the survivors that reach out to me from around the world: showing them their are long term survivors like me. Hope is a powerful it means strength. In the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in his faithfulness. I thank God for all of his blessings for the good and bad times and his love. Never give up Hope!!! :-)
